The music ensembles at First Church include participants ranging from 5 years old through adult. These groups include:
Chancel Choir
(High School - Adult)
Rehearsals: Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Youth Choir
(Middle/High School)
Rehearsals scheduled as needed
Cherub Choir
(5 years - 5th Grade)
Rehearsals: Sundays 9:00-9:15 a.m.
Handbell Choir
(Multi-aged music-readers)
Rehearsals: Sundays following 10:30 a.m. worship
Chancel Players
(Multi-aged instrumentalists)
Rehearsals scheduled as needed
Various solo pianists and singers
These ensembles provide anthems for two weekly services and several additional seasonal worship experiences, with the intent of communicating God's word and spirit through music.
We encourage and welcome new members, and strive to create musical experiences that inspire both participant and listener. We seek to provide music and formats that elucidate God's word, and let the Spirit soar.
